Brief Summary:

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, William Shakespeare’s most popular comedy. It portrays the adventures of four young lovers and a group of amateur actors, their interactions with woodland fairies and the King and Queen of Athens. Taking place in a mythical city and an enchanted forest, there is a handsome fairy king, a misguided parent, star-crossed lovers, a weaver who’s transformed into a half-donkey, wood sprites and elves. But, to sum ot all up, this play is as many – about love. But as Puck knows, falling in love can make fools of us all.

The original “downtown tradition”, as it was christened by Ben Brantley in New York Times of 1994, returns! The original production runs from place to place as it goes from scene to scene in the beautiful southwest corner of Washington Square Park at 8pm Thursdays-Sundays .
